Malay Chicken Satay

Satay is the most famous Malay snacks in Malaysia.. All kind of races in the country enjoys 'satay.' Who don't? It is quite similar to the kebab but satay is mostly sweet..

And the thing is, I will have to prepare satay for appetizers.. So I asked my mom to grab some of the ingredients in the wet market so I can try it after class which is 9pm.. Im done with it and the time now is 1.03 am.. Haha..

This miserable Friday, we will have to serve Malay Foods during out food production class..It is actually in KDU, Set lunch for RM12, 12-2pm and there are 7 more places..
So if you are interested, don't hesitate to contact me here..

Cheh, my Malay friends all also puasa lah.. Sigh..
Nevermind, here are the satays which are baked, not char grilled as I don't have the equipments at home..


Baked Chicken Satay..


Marinated mainly with tumeric powder, tumeric root, cumin, fennel seed and sugar..
Remember to soak or boil the satay sticks to avoid burnt during cooking..


The sauce.. Peanut oil, chili paste, tamaring pulp, coconut milk, lemon grass, sugar and groundnuts..


Tadaa.. Simple deco.. The ulam is made from wingled beans, fish sauce, bunga kantan, red onion and sugar..
