AtapCafe~ KDU College (PG)

[AtapCafe]

AtapCafe was formed after the cafe name achieved the most votes from my coursemates, semester 6 Diploma in Chef Training students.. AtapCafe now replace the old 'Le Cafe' of KDU college for Tuesday Cafe Operation only! We, students are given the chance to come up with different cafe names as this is our last and final Project! AtapCafe is located in the KDU Foyer and operates ONLY on Tuesday - 10.30am to 2.30pm serving breakfast & lunch! So people do stop by AtapCafe and look for the promotions available!

Students are given RM400.00 to prepare 8 kinds of foods and 4 types of beverages for the 4 hours cafe operation.. Therefore, food items are limited..
Besides, AtapCafe is sharing the Foyer with 2 other classes so before you purchase any food items, remember to check out the MENU first!

This LOGO is fully HANDMADE and the budget for it is only RM50.00.. Some of the materials are donated by our members! We put our heart, sweat and blood in producing it.. There are more to come such as the menu stand, numberings and etc etc of a cafe..

Customers on the first day.. There are lots of them.. :) Do come back people! We are cooking again this coming Tuesday! Every alternate Tuesday, our group will cook while the other group will serve..


And my old friends who came all the way from INTI! Thanks Kelvin for dragging them all here! Appreciate it!


I was in-charged for the Spaghetti Carbonara that day.. Now I learnt a new way in preparing Carbonara as the first day menu and recipes are from our chef himself.. Even without bacon, the carbonara is awesome!


Then some of the people who are at the outside 'a la minute' kitchen! Daniel the Chef of the Day, Bala our boss, SK & Kukumaru Fong for burger station and finally Cobra and his GF the cash machine..


The First Day Dish.. Only 4 of them, heh.. The coming Tuesdays, we will have 8 dish and 4 types of beverages.. There are also promotions and each week's menu is different!

First and Second AtapCafe operation success! Everyone is happy including our chef.. Cheers people!

For this coming Tuesday menu and price, I will blog about it in the next post! Bala and I are in-charge and we hope to give you all our best shot and hope to see you guys at AtapCafe!

Sushi King - Gurney Plaza New Wing

Hello People! Sorry for the lack of updates! I got nothing to write nowadays! Waiting for Obala to update some atapcafe photos too.. So chill people!
Since it was Friday and I got no transport to go anywhere.. I joined the two, 'one cannot stop laughing and another one cannot stop talking' for dinner in GP.. They love Sushi King and made me love Sushi King too.. Okay Sushi King is better now compared to the previous one at the old wing.. Diners have privacy to indulge their foods as there is no longer any glass wall surrounding the restaurant.. The kaiten belt and the table setting is well organized too.. Sorry for the bad photos :(

Octopus.. I don't know the name of it but it was good.. Eat with the julienned cucumber :)

then we had set dinner.. My set costs RM19.90.. Salmon Steak comes with soup, rice, cawan mushi and Yakult! Salmon set on the hot plate is fugly but the taste is awesome!


Piri Piri Chicken.. The sidelines are the same as the salmon ones..


Sakana Black Pepper.. Dory fingers and sidelines..


After a full and tasty dinner, we went for a walk and someone bought her 4th pair of heels this month..

Anyway, Sushi King servers sushi that suits our Chinese tastebuds..
