Orange & Black not forgetting Silver

>> Saturday, August 29, 2009

I've took down this old bicycle parts, then sand it, then spray paint it and it is still not done..
I don't have the parts to replace it you see..

Should give it to the pro Mr. Lay Sheang!
Merdeka day is nearing too.. 2 more days..
And everyday it is raining cats and dogs..

How to send to the pro?

Anyway, there are some progress I did to the bike..

Sketch-sketch to get some inspiration..
Learned from Chip Foose TV show!
Anyway, we are forced to learn Illustrator Cs3 maybe next time I can try using that.. Hehe..

To wrap the parts that are not supposed to be painted..
Then paint a base coat layer so that the paint and finishing can stay..

Spray paint the colour you wanted.. I chosed orange..

Spray paint, polished, washed, oiled and fixed back..

The front part..

The bicycle looks like this before I put my hands on it..

Now, it is just simple and shiny.. Lighter too.. No more rusts..

Anyway, I still got long way to go..

Need to fix these back:
-Front and back brake, the wires and the arm thinggi..
-Handlebar grip
-The front basket
-Front and back tyres and their tubes
-Right side pedal
-The new bicycle stand
-Malaysia flag!

And I threw these away:
-Chain sheild
-Lock

And I want these on it later on:
-Dynamo & Lights
-Audio
-Reflectors
-Stickers which says ''The orange Hawk''

HAHAHA...

Ondeh-ondeh made easy..

>> Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Don't ask me why I did this.. I don't want to make it actually.. It is for my 'marks' sake..
This cooking semester, we have to plan and creat our own menu.. I was given the title 'Nyonya Cuisine' and Oh Shiet! I really know nothing about Nyonya..
Then I browse through the net and found this cute little green thing called ondeh-ondeh ( Coconut Poppers)..
Can make it for my desserts.. Btw, are they originated from Nyonya?

So simple.. Just need to knead the glutinious rice flour (250g) with tapioca flour (50g), water (200ml), few drops of apple green colouring and pandan flavouring..
You might want to knead the flour without the colouring first then only add them when the dough is ready..

Then, mix some brown sugar with pounded 'gula Melaka.'
Place on the dough and then grab it tight first before rolling it into a ball..
Be gentle or the dough will break..
*Make sure the dough is very thin so that the melted sugar will ooze out when you bite on it*

When the ball is ready, throw them into the boiling water.. It is cooked when the balls float on the surface..
*After reaching boiling point, lower down the heat so that the ball can be cooked slowly to ensure all brown sugar and 'gula Melaka' melted!*

When it is cooked, drain it then roll on the grated coconut..
Then you're done..

Who want to come 'makan' when my team and I cook?

Rou Gu Cha (Gurney Plaza)

>> Monday, August 24, 2009

We planned not to spend 11 hours in college..
So, for the 2 hours break, we went to Gurney Plaza for lunch..
Had 'Bak Kut Teh' in Rou Gu Cha!
We took the 4 person package.. Actually we planned to dine there for a long time already.. But everytime, Chopper Board seems to have more powerful lure on us!
The price is quite reasonable because it is in a mall mah.. Got air-conditioning and sofas.. Don't forget this premis has 3 CCTV on the ceiling.. LOL..
Anyway, the service is fast and the taste is not bad..

Found this design as their wallpaper!

Aha.. This is me.. Actually I wanted to act like a 'lancia pek' (trishaw man style) when taking this shot..
But, I spotted 3 CCTVs so I changed my plan..

Appetizers: Spring rolls and spring rolls?

This is the 'dry' claypot Bak Kut Teh!

The soup one..

'Eu Char Koay' Hmm.. What do they call this in English already?

Herbal hard boilled eggs!

Taugeh.. Bean sprout..

Finally, herbal jelly for desserts..
They serve us with Chinese tea in a mug too! Heh..

And the couple!

BTW, The dishes are non-halal..
So if you are a muslim, please don't visit Rou Gu Cha unless someday, someone open an establishment that sells 'Chi Kut Teh.' ( Pork Replaced by Chicken!)

You can have the most crispy 'siew bak,' (roasted pork with crispy skin) here!
They have other items too.. Char siew, boilled chicken, roasted duck, roasted chinese sausages, pork innard soup and vegetables..

Credits to Obala for the photos..

Spot SKY HOTEL.. Then the RED stall board ''WAI KEE''
Be early during lunch time to avoid disappointment!

Soup..

Vegetables..

The mixture of everything!

And some drinks.. I had the most popular 'ambra' with plum..RM1.80 per cup..

Total of the food is RM17.80.. Quite expansive but worth eating..

WTF?

Holla! Today is the first day of my new semester.. Guess what? We are late thanks to the 20 minutes jam caused by an accident..
Luckily we came into class earlier than the lecturer..

Jam Jam Jam @ Mount Erskin! Motorbikes also cannot cross.. Cause they are all lining up to pass the accident spot..

The stupid KANCIL.. Can you imagine how 'it' ended up like this? Hello Brother, this is a straight road..
If the driver happen to read this..
Do Go Back To Your Driving School..

Anyway, I've seen another accident on the same road on New Year Eve if im not mistaken.. Some party people knock an uncle on his bicycle.. Head shot! Head smack the windscreen..
Wahlau eh..

And do you guys remember how our Penang Uniform Tailor died? He was rolled over by a speeding car on his head after being crashed by another car..

OH F*CK! Please drive safely lah.. Use your brain.. I think people are nuts about politics nowadays.. =,=''

The new mountain bike at home..
It is a RB which means rockbike.. RB is the brand of it too..
We got it from CCI in town..

A simply RB..

Uses Shimano(SIS) gear system.. Shimano is also Nexus.. Meaning I've been using the system for quite some time..

Simple.. 21 speed..

RockBike Crankset.. The pedal is coated with some super thick and hard plastic.. Do not break it even if it crack.. Or you will have a hard time cycling next time..

I love this part.. Look at the rear suspension/absorber.. Like a can of NOS but this one does nothing.. I like it tightened not loose.. If not back ache after cycling..

The New RockBike at home.. ISO 9001 Certified..

HAHAHA..
