Lunch after class.. FP2 by our seniors..

Today, we learnt about tarts..
Sweet paste or sugar crust.. The crust is like egg tart but with different fillings..
3 of us in a group.. We made Lemon meringue tart.. The picture above is the one with French meringue that is not being blowtorch yet!

Finish class at 12pm and the went over to Bon Appetit for makan..

Chicken Waldorf salad with strawberry herb vinaigrette.. Yum yum!

Pan fried cajun chicken breast.. Got roasted cherry tomato, mushrooms and potato salad with egg.. Yum Yum Yum!

Something cake.. I don't like it tho.. But looks good!

Lunch at KDU for the first time..
We have cooked for so many but never try it ourself..
So we manage to grab 6 tickets and went to makan..

Welcome to 'dix-neuf club' (club 19)

After a week, we had another Birthday celebrations..
This time, not to drink but to relax..
Hehe.. French exam is today you know?

After dinner, we went over to Rits to get a Birthday cake for the birthday boy..
And finally went over to Coffee Island and surprised our lil duckie!

Same comment again.. This week, we have 1.6 kg beef tenderloin for 10 pax..
Just like last week, 1kg fish for 20+ pax!
LOL AGAIN!
Ah.. Don't want to care d lah.. She never understand what we are trying to tell her.. grrr..

Garlic bread by Chia Chuen, the second laziest chef.. Yalah, besides our senior citizen uncle.. That one is top 1!
He burnt the first batch of garlic bread.. You know the colour of charcoal?

Beef Medaillon by Jeffrey assist Chef Aravin who saved the day.. Without the butcher chef, we're so dead..
The one who wants us to cook steak does not know how to handle beef!
HAHAHA!! Laughs till pants drop!

n, the sauce by Egret Egret (YY) and Hock Heng (HH).. To HH, sorry I yelled at you because I really cannot stand anymore complaints from you about the uncle..

Oh yea.. Our lecturer participated fully in the pastry kitchen..
LOL.. I think she will be a great pastry chef la..

Yogen was our CDP and I was his assistant.. We are the slaves to the chefs for today..
Take plate, look for stuffs, settle the lecturer and handle all kinds of complaints from our coursemates.. Luckily it is over..
Seriously, this job is worse than cooking..

Pawned the Birthday Boy

We had a beer drinking ceremony and tom yam maggie spree for the birthday boy!
So sorry my friend we could not have a proper birthday celebration with you yesterday..
Yeah la.. Our class ends at 8.30PM! Fuyoh!!~

Anyway, 6 of us went to the chilling spot @ Batu Ferringhi..
Went to L.A.B bar for some booze.. It was a very quiet place therefore we can pawn the birthday boy silently..
HAHA..

If you want to define L.A.B, you can do it yourself as the management doesn't mind at all..
Simba, the worker told me that L.A.B stands for Ladies Are Boss or Love At Beach..

Besides, they have sisha too.. A flavour for RM30++

We had Carlsberg Gold.. The taste rawks and it is smooth.. Like drinking ice lemon tea which have a lil bit bitter in it.. ROAR!

Out of sudden, my brother asked me to finish the menu card with him.. It is for tomorrow service.. LOL!
Get the soft copy from Bala and the two of us visited the photostet shop aunty to buy some hard card board and some materials..
Plastic to make the pockets.. So we can recycle the menu over and over again!
HAHA..

Confession On The Dance Floor

Better known as Saints Combined 73rd Gathering and 7th Campfire organized by the scouts of Saint Xavier's Institution, Penang.
This year, the 7th Georgetown (North) troop did a very well-done job in hosting the event..
And this is the only year where it doesn't rain! Yep, every year, god will give us water during the campfire night..

However, I can see that not many people are interested in such events anymore.. Number of participants are less compared to previous years..

They gave me a T-shirt, tag and booklet when i sign up on the guest book.. As an alumni lar..
Shirt was designed by venture TL, Ken Shen..

Met those people first.. This is where you do all the paperwork before entering the main hall during the Gathering..

Saturday evening.. Doing what most teenagers does are the best..
We went to the mall..
Not to socialize but to play pool.. The hottest game for KDU chefs sem 3!
LOL..

Next, we went over to Chilis to scope a friend of mine but he was no where to be found..
Then we walked pass Sega and found a pig in red.. HAHA!

At first we wanted to drink only but end up having dinner in it due to the mouth watering food photos in the menu..

Scrumptious beef carbonara.. Do try it.. Really tasty! My bro and I had this..

Some beef tinggi.. Like sandwich.. LOL! Gareth says this was cheap! LOL..

Set Lunch @ KDU, Bon Appetit Restaurant.

Woah! Thanks to the 40+ people who had supported us all this while..
And for those who want to try the food we cook, it is on every Friday..
Yups, we need to get 20 people to dine-in every week or we will fail!!~
Soon, we will have to find at least 50 people or more every week when the A la carte menu starts.. Fuyoh!


On 24/4/2009, we will be serving two sets! Hope more will come and support us!

SET A: Cream of Broccoli soup, Beef Steak with Black Pepper Sauce and Cream Caramel.
SET B: Cream of Broccoli soup, Chicken Cordon Bleu and Cream Caramel.

And again, if you are interested, do contact me here or sms me @ 0164089249 before Tuesday! Or I will go hunt my friends to buy the tickets and there will be no more left..
I will personally visit you to deliver the tickets alright! HEH!

Yesterday, we serve this:

Chicken soup accompanied with cheese stick.. We made those cheese sticks from puff pastry and parmesan cheese which we don't have it in our recipe!
Anyway, I have some bad comments on the soup recipe.. But I shall keep it to myself lah.. Sigh..
What to do when you got a junior lecturer?

Main course: Fish and wedges accompanied with KDU tartar sauce and coleslaw.. First, we have a huge dilemma.. Imagine ordering 1kg of fish for 20 people? Then luckily the supplier got more dory fish fillet or we shall close shop!
Again,it was the lecturer's fault!

Bread and Butter pudding.. The recipe sarks! Then Bala and Gareth improvise on it or we shall serve stone pudding -.-'

Pool day, Saturday..

Someone is back from KL lur~~
The girl who ran away from KL and landed back to Penang on Good Friday..
Haha.. We took this opportunity to grab hold of her and watched some girly movie, played pool and eat tang yuen.. Oh ya.. She came and invade my place too.. To see shiro my fluff ball doggie..
